What you'll need! | Method of Preperation |
Apple or pear 4 each Butter 1 tbsp Brown sugar 2 tbsp Puff pastry 2 sheets Egg 2 each Water 1-2 tbsp Pam cooking spray See pictures below for the "how to" | 1. Slice the fruit into thin slices. 2. In a large saute pan, melt the butter. Add the slice fruit and brown sugar. 3. Cook until the fruit is soft, set aside. 4. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees. 5. On a clean, flat surface, roll the sheet of puff pastry until it is flat and about 3mm thick. 6. Slice into 2.5-3 inch ribbons. |
7. Layer the fruit on one half of the ribbons. Fold the second half over the fruit, leaving a small amount of the fruit exposed.
8. Roll to form a rose.
9. Create and egg wash by whicking the egg and a small amount of water. Brush the egg all over the puff pastry rose.
10. Spray a muffin tin with oil, bake the roses in the muffin tin for 15-20 minutes, or until the puff pastry is golden brown.
11. Serve warm or allow to cool then freeze.
